Jinghao Cao | Instructor at Caltech
I am a Borland Fellow in Applied Mathematics and Mathematical Physics at Imperial College London. My fellowship host is Professor Richard Craster. I working on scientific computing and analysis of partial differential equations targeting emergent areas of mathematical physics such as metamaterials.
Previously, I was a von Kármán Instructor in Computing and Mathematical Sciences at Caltech, hosted by Professor Oscar Bruno.
Before Caltech, I obtained my doctoral degree in Applied Mathematics from ETH Zurich (Switzerland) in 2024, supervised by Professor Habib Ammari. My second advisor was Professor Alessio Figalli.
Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor’s (2017–2021) and Master’s (2021–2022) degrees in Mathematics with distinction from ETH Zurich, including a year abroad (2019–2020) at Imperial College London (UK).
I am fluent in Chinese, English, and German. My Chinese name is 曹景皓 (Cáo Jǐng Hào).
